Our Journey of Growth and Development
Establishment
- 1985: Established on August 29, 1985, under the name Saigon-Vientiane Import-Export Company (SAVIMEX).
- 1987-1990: Expanded export markets to the Soviet Union, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, specializing in floorboards, round wood, and sawn timber while importing advanced machinery, chemicals, and equipment.
Expansion and Innovation
- 1992: Partnered with Japan New Furniture (JNF) to introduce a refined wood production line dedicated to exports to Japan.
- 1993: Co-established the Saviwoodtech facility in collaboration with Marunaka and opened a center for building and interior development.
- 1995: Founded SAVIDECOR to specialize in interior design, decoration, and premium architectural woodwork for the domestic market.
Growth and Integration
- 2002: Became the first Vietnam furniture factory to earn the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification. Successfully listed shares on the Vietnam stock exchange (Ticker: SAV).
- 2007: Established SaviPack, a specialized carton packaging enterprise featuring modern production lines imported from Taiwan.
Global Transformation & Brand Evolution
- 2008: Formed the Champa-Savi wood processing joint venture in Champasak, Laos.
- 2014: Secured strategic investment from South Korea’s E-Land Group, driving capital expansion and operational modernization.
- 2016-2021: Increased charter capital and launched the MOHO brand.
- 2022-2025: Opened a nationwide showroom network in HCMC, Hanoi, and Binh Duong-solidifying Savimex’s position as a premier Vietnam furniture factory for global OEM/ODM supply chains and domestic retail.
